Statement of Faith

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, divinely inspired, inerrant and infallible in the original manuscripts. We believe the Scriptures not only contain the Word of God but proclaims the words of God as the final authority to every age and way of life.

We believe that the Godhead eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit and these three are one God.  We believe that the Universe was created by God’s command and that creation was a divine mandate

We believe that Jesus Christ was both God and man.  He was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life and then was crucified on a cross. Jesus was the perfect substitute to atone for our sin by the shedding of blood.  Three days later He rose from the grave conquering death.  He is now seated at the right hand of God the Father and is the head of the church and the intercessor on behalf of believers.  One day He will visibly return to complete His saving work and to consummate the eternal plan of God.

We believe that in His death and by the covering of His shed blood He made a perfect atonement for sin and redeemed us from the law. We have been justified by grace through faith. This life-changing act of regeneration offers the forgiveness of sin, a new heart, and the hope of eternal life. Salvation is not based on works, merit, church membership or baptism but rather by the grace of God.

We believe that all who receive by faith Jesus Christ are true believers and are eternally secure.  They cannot lose their salvation, but sin may interrupt the joy filled fellowship with God in which our loving Father will discipline those He loves. We believe that believers are to walk with dependence upon the Holy Spirit in order to honor God. We believe we are joint heirs with Christ and upon death will share in His Glory.

We believe that we are sealed by the Holy Spirit guaranteeing our inheritance. Through the Spirit, believers must seek the fullness of the Spirit to allow for victorious living here on earth.

We believe that one day Jesus will return. On that day, the bodily resurrection of believers and unbelievers will be judged. Believers will receive everlasting blessedness residing in God’s Glory. Unbelievers will experience the everlasting punishment of eternal separation with God.

As believers in Christ, we believe that our goal should be that of discipleship to grow in spiritual maturity.  By studying the Word of God and being obedient to His Word through submission to the Holy Spirit, we will grow into Christ likeness. We believe that every Christian plays a vital role in the local church as we represent the bride of Christ.
